Summer = weddings

This summer we {the Langley's} were blessed with 3 weddings and all of the celebrations that come along with them, showers, rehearsal dinners and brunches etc.. All 3 weddings fell 3 weekends in a row! Needless to say, although it was a lot of fun it was really tiring for a preggers like myself but well worth it!

The first wedding of the summer was my cousin Michelle's on July 31st. Michelle married Mike Gayed from Chicago. It was a beautiful Coptic/Egyptian wedding at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and the reception was at the Schuster Center. They had approximately 300 guests from far and near and it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of Egyptian music and lots of friends that I hadn't seen in ages (from the days of church camp) Stella had a blast at the wedding and danced her little bottom off. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Michael Gayed!

The second wedding of the summer was that of our high school friend Brad Kerr; he married Corrie Sedmak. They currently live in San Diego, California but their wedding was in Columbus, Ohio on Friday August 6th. Todd was a groomsman in his wedding; as was Vine and Graham. Their wedding was nice and intimate and only had about 80-100 guests! The ceremony was outdoors at The Columbus River Club and their reception was in the Buckeye Room at the same venue. This was the first vegan wedding we had ever attended and it made for some interesting food. Corrie was so crafty and detail oriented. She handmade the centerpieces, cake toper, programs, invites, table cards and favors! Brad (aka DJ Green) even DJ'ed 20 minutes of the reception with a mix program that he had and we got to wear fun green light up glasses; it sure felt like we were at a rave or a dance club- very fun! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Brad Kerr!

The third and final wedding of the summer was that of my good LexisNexis friend Vanessa! (Vanessa and I met several years ago when we were both working at Lexis in the Customer Support Department as legal research consultants. Shortly after I moved over to the sales department in 2006, I convinced Vanessa to come over and join that department as well. ) She married Paul Stephan (who also works with us in sales at Lexis) on Saturday August 14th at Polen Farm in Centerville in front of 200 friends and family. The ceremony was to take place in front of the gazebo but since the weather would not cooperate, it ended up under a tent so that the guests would not get soaked. Thankfully, by the time the ceremony ended and it was time for the reception, it cleared up and dropped in temperature several degrees making it the weather very tolerable. Tyler and Brady (Vanessa's 4 and 3 year old sons) walked Vanessa down the aisle and gave her away. It was so adorable and very much a tear jerker. The both love Paul very much and call him daddy! I was a bridesmaid at their wedding and very honored to be a part of their special day even though I'm HUGE (5 weeks from delivery) and will probably look like a blimp in all of the photos. Nonetheless, it was a lot of fun and I was so so honored to be a part of Paul and Vanessa's day! Stella had a blast with Tyler and Brady and all of the kids at the wedding and of course was not too thrilled at the end of the night when we told her it was time to go home. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Paul Stephan!

3 weddings, 3 separate weekends and 3 wonderful couples! We had a lot of fun and the memories will last a lifetime. We are very blessed to have great friends and family and look forward to any upcoming weddings and celebrations!
