Jonah- month 3

Jonah is 3 months old today! Can you believe it? I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. It seems just like yesterday I was pregnant and today my little boy is 3 months old.

Mommy's little boy!

Lots has changed since last month! On December 1, I returned back to work after nearly 14 weeks of leave. I began my leave 4 weeks before Jonah was born and stayed home with him until he was roughly 10 weeks old. Now that I am back to work, Jonah attends daycare at Kids R Kids (KRK). This is the daycare facility located right at the entrance of our neighborhood and where Stella goes and has been going since she was 8 weeks old.  Jonah is in Suite 100 (the baby room) at KRK. There are 10 babies total in his class and 4 teachers. The lead teacher in his class, Ms. Charlotte had Stella when she was a baby. It's so nice to have her with Jonah now and very comforting for me to know that the same teacher that had Stella now has Jonah too.

Jonah's first day of daycare

The only downfall is that Jonah's first week of daycare Jonah contracted croup (cough which sounds like a seal barking). There's really not much we can n do about it except put his humidifier on and suction out any boogies from his nose (that job is Todd's specialty).

Mommy's little monkey!

Jonah is now on a pretty good routine and has been sleeping through the night for several months now. After many trials and tribulations with several different formulas including prescription formula, Jonah is now on  Enfamil Nutramigen. Its a hypo-allergenic formula for babies with milk and soy allergies. Thankfully he's been doing great on it! Its somewhat expensive in comparison to regular formula but I have been able to find it on eBay pretty cheap and each time we are at the pediatricians office they offer us several 8oz can samples. For several months now, Jonah has been taking a rice cereal bottle before bed and it's really been helping with his reflux (he's still on prescription Prevacid for the reflux) not to mention that it's filling up his little belly and helping him sleep through the night too. He's obviously taking to the formula really well because he's now plumped up to more than 14lbs and is growing like a weed. And although Jonah is only 3 months old he's wearing 6-9 month clothing and is turning into quite a chubby and cute little man!

Sitting in his Bumbo seat watching TV

Jonah's changed so much this month! He's such a good baby and his laid back personality is beginning to flourish. Jonah is holding up his head really well and is even able to sit in his Bumbo seat (the best invention ever). He smiles a lot now too and his facial expressions are much  more intentional. He still loves the bathtub and most recently he's been trying to put the bubbles from his bath into his mouth. He can even roll over from his belly to his back but not vice versa. Jonah loves sleeping on his belly and when he rolls over on his back he cries because be doesn't like to sleep on his back. Jonah has also began to coo and babble. When you talk to him he coos back as if he's answering you. What hasn't changed, is that Jonah still loves his swing, bouncy chair and pacifier!

I look like my mommy!

Posing for Teta & Gido's Christmas card with Stella and Sophie!

I still cannot believe that my little boy is 3 months old! Where has the time gone? We look forward to each new day and each new milestone. Jonah will be celebrating his first Christmas in 8 short days. We are excited to celebrate our first Christmas as a family of 4. Not only is Stella excited about Santa's impending arrival but she's so excited to share it with Jonah and has even volunteered to open all of his presents since "he'll be too little to open them mommy, so I'll do it for him." There is a new stocking hanging from the mantle that has his name on it, another little "good" boy that Santa has to shop for and another set of pj's that the elves with have to deliver on Christmas Eve. Christmas will be so exciting this year, not only will we be able to share our traditions with Stella we now have a new little Langley that will partake in these family rituals and traditions from here on out.

I'm excited for my First Christmas!

Here's to a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our family to yours!
